Default Picked up some JDM Celsior exhaust tips

Ive seen pics of the tips installed, but never seen a vs stock comparison photo. So here's one for anyone thinking about the mod to see.

Bought them from a seller in Japan on Ebay. Brand new OEM Celsior tips.

Well I know which tips I'm gonna get next time! Looks Great. Thanks for the comparison shot. It's so hard to tell when you see them one at a time.

Celsior21 has a set for sale, or he may still have a set for sale should I say...Looks good, subtle but nice.

They were $260 shipped.

I previously contacted Celsior21 about the tips he head. They are a different version though. They are the SAME size as the STOCK tip, but are LONGER.

The ones I have are a tad bit longer than stock, but much larger obviously.

Look great! I bought the same ones as well last year (probably from the same seller) for my 2004 LS430. I think its makes a big difference to the look of the car. I found the stock ones are just too tiny. It's a nice upgrade to do!!

One thing I found with mine, when I received my JDM Exhaust tips, they came with 2 bolts that you are supposed to tighten once you have slipped the tips on the end of the factory exhaust to hold them in place. I found the bolts were too short/small. It was a very easy fix though, I just went to the local hardware store and bought longer bolts and cut them to size so I could tighten the tips. EASY!

They look really nice, remind me of the Honda S2000 (AP2) tips.

How are the stock ones atttached to the exhaust pipe? I have looked to see if there is a clamp. Do these have to be cut off and new ones welded?

I have an Australian Spec LS430 but it should be the same - The factory tips are just held on by pressure fit (metal inner core that squeezes onto the main exhaust). - See my pics below of the factory ones. They can be very firm and I thought mine were welded on but I checked they're not. Check first just in case someone has messed with them..

Gunk and grit tends to build up between the inner ring and the tip making them very firm. I removed mine by grabbing hold of the tip and firmly twisting it to the left and right slowly at first to loosen them up whilst at the same time pulling the tip straight back towards you. BE PATIENT, DONT RUSH and it will eventually slide/pull off.

Here's the pics of the small factory tips removed so you can see the inner ring that holds it onto the main exhaust:

Hope this helps!
