Beamers are crap. Even uk versions. End of. My mate dumped about 30000 quid (yes, GBP) in his 745 2003 to date. It's utter crap, engineered to fail and to suck that poor sucker (owner) dry.

That sounds like a seriously good price. Nice ride.

On the BMW note - a respected indie mechanic I know well that works on BMW's says their 'free" maintenance works to the disadvantage of the next owner. BMW does only what's needed since they pay for it. When the car falls out of the warranty and free maintenance they are frequently dumped on the market needing a lot of work to be a reliable car that is up to snuff (never mind being up to the **** standards of those of us on the boards). Consequently, the next owners have plenty to ***** about. Buy from someone **** like you and enjoy them as a second car. Keep your Lexus as a daily driver...
