Just wondering if anybody else has heard the comment "nice Mercedes" re the 2004 LS 430?

I've had my 430 for 2 months now, & I can't tell you how many times I've heard this from people & I'm not sure what model Mercedes they're talking about?????

Mine is black, without a ding on it, & so many people think I'm driving a brand new Mercedes.

I've tried to add pix but encountered problems, & because I'm a rookie, every time I try to go back & repost a pic I get a msg telling me I can't do it....any way to get past this? I'd really like to have 1 pic in My Garage....Thanks!

I've driven a 2007 e350 and 2004 s500 extensively and many others because of work, and honestly i think Lexus drive better. As to looks, if people are mixing them up, its because they don't know cars.

Have you been speaking to Stevie Wonder? They are probably thinking the LS430 with the S series of the mid 90's. Some think the 430 looks like a Ford 500 too.

Those same people probably can't tell a right fist from a left fist.

Just checked out the E55, & I agree....one view I saw from the side was somewhat similar, but....

I've gotten the same mercedes compliment at the car wash before. The big L on the grille was facing right at the guy too lol.

Nice end parking spot btw! looks very secure, reminds me of my old end spot back in undergrad

I would be insulted if someone mistook my LS430 for a mercedes.

As above....I've gotten the nice Mercedes from many people! People think it's an S-500 Series. When they realize it's a Lexus they also think it's brand new...I have an '04 LS430 in Black Onyx.

I have 05 LS black onyx also and also have a few people mistake it for a mercedes when viewed on the side when the lexus logo is not visible.

Ive gotten the "is that a benz" statement a couple of times. Mostly from women so ill let it pass lol. But our LS's do look a lot like the mid-90's S-class for sure. Every time i see one i always look and compare the similarities of the two. I guess the LS430 it is what an updated S500 would look like if Mercedes would've keep that style.

Celsior is the LS430 in Japan.
