Default Front Wheel Bearing/Assembly Part

Just had my driver wheel bearing assembly go out. Has anyone researched and found quality OEM parts, maybe Timken, which would save $ over Lexus parts? I see like a 150 dollar difference or more between Timken and Lexus or more depending on markup internet versus dealer pricing. One dealer was 406 in my area versus 234 Timken net.

Your dealer is a thief. Get ONLY oem toyota hub. It cost about 150usd at sewell.
No non-oem parts on lexus please.

I had the front passenger one go out a year ago and it was around $600 installed at a Toyota Dealership. Sadly, my rear passenger one is needing replaced now.

I can tell you first hand that the original hub on my '04 LS is the exact same part as the National 513163 i purchased through Advance Auto. Both hubs have the exact same part number and markings on them and the fitment was perfect. The part was not cheap, and i just had them price match Sewell so i have easier access for a warranty issue if it ever comes up!

Did it myself and I paid around 250 from sewell. About an hour job that only needs a socket wrench and a prybar

thanks guys. Sewell was 424.00 for the part and I guess there is a link to our discount(not sure how to do it I). First one they said was no better than the one with 175K on it I brought in, so they will reorder and have it tomorrow. The dealer in MKE was 800 bucks I worked my guys the Yota dealer to 650. When will the right front go out?

Front wheel bearing is 43550-50011 which is nowhere near 400usd... My parts source shows just above 200usd for toyota part.
Ahh, i get it. They want to dump old part (43550-50010) on you - it does show around 400usd price, BUT it was superseded by 43550-50011. It's 353 at sewell without discount (and from that i get, that sewell is super expensive as well...).
Anyway when my front went out i paid 140usd for new toyota part from local parts dealer... And that's in Russia.

make an account with sewell and associate your forum account with it. You will see 3 prices. MSRP, Online price, and Member Price. good luck!

Steve from Sewell quoted me 424 before the Club discount. The Advance part was like 15 percent off to 311 bucks mail order. I was already into the job so I trusted em to work with me. I really can't do this work myself so I am enviouse of you guys who can.

My Yota dealer has charged me 11 bucks plus filter to change my oil when I bring in my own synthetic brand and she comes out washed. They let me ship in rotors from tire rack versus 200 a pop for Lexus rotors so I want to support them and I know they have overhead like any business.

I picked up my car and service fella told me they misdiagnosed the side and they really cannot put the old bearing on as it gets pretty beat up taking it off. They gave me 2 Lexus bearings for the price of one so I am happy 650 total and he thanked me for being patient for the 4 days they had my car. I have become pretty patient since my brother died 2 months ago and we buried him today and being Catholic I felt kinda guilty geting one for free.

I got a new Touareg TDI 2 weeks ago but still really like driving my LS hopefully for another 175k at least 25 k to my next t belt job last time charged me 650 with the pump. Thanks for all the support.
