04 LS430, Passenger Power Seat Stopped Working :(
Hello! I have an 04 LS430, and the passenger power seat has slowly stopped working. It would have short stretches where it wouldn't work then short stretches where it would, now nothing. When you press all the various switches you don't hear motors trying, relays clicking, nothing. Seat heater seems to work fine.
I checked and replaced the fuse in the trunk, just fine. I tested for voltage at the fuse box, solid 12 volts. I saw a plug under the seat in the front and the back, I tested both and got 12 volts in the front and 11 volts in the back probing the green and black/white wires. So it would seem the seat has power, yet has decided to stop working. Any idea what other steps I could try? My wife and I have a cross country road trip coming up this weekend and it is going to be kinda rough with the seat in its present position lol.
Thanks in advance for whatever ideas you can come up with!

Well after some more feverish searching, I found a few tech documents that it looks like are the reference docs for a dealer tech. They include a wiring diagram for the power seat, and a troubleshooting flowchart for power seat failures. Obviously if one direction/function isn't working, that indicates a particular motor or drive circuit failure. But if everything isn't working it instructs to check the 'ECU Power Source Circuit', which I think I have done, then the 'Power Seat ECU'. Sounds reasonable to me, maybe there are some capacitors in there which have worn out, I imagine a power seat controller would have some pretty massive ones? What do you guys think? Any recommendations where I might find a 'Power Seat ECU' for my vehicle, assuming that is the problem and I can't repair it?

Hello I know this is an old thread, but do you have any updates? Or does anyone have any input, where this fuse in the trunk is?
I haven't checked in months but tried to use the passenger seat today and it won' move. Both the buttons on the bottom near the door and the ones on the side of the seat (where the driver can access it) doesn't work.

So I just checked the fuses in the driver's kick panel, passenger's kick panel, and trunk. All appear to be well. Driver's power seat is working fine.
Was hoping for a blown fuse somewhere . I drive by myself most of the time (mainly only driver), so the power seats don't even get adjusted often.

The main power for the front passenger seat is through the "P P/SEAT" 30A fuse located in the trunk J/B. If you can confirm that the fuse is good and that you have power there, then the problem is somewhere downstream in the wiring harness. You can try introducing power to the B-R (Black-Red) wire with 12V power to see if you can get the seat motor to move. See green arrows on the picture below for detail.

Checkout this youtube video on a very nifty tool called "Insulation Piercing Probe".
You can use it to isolate your electrical problem. You've already tested P P/SEAT fuse; then move on to "BE3" to see if you have power there, and if you do, then move on the "BG3", and so on until you find the dead connector. Remember, you're testing the Black/Red wire for +12VDC.
Alternatively if you just want to inject power temporarily to move the seat, you can use the piercing probe on the Black/Red wire just upstream of "B7" and bring 12V power to it.

rkw77080, a big thank you. I got the passenger power seat to temporarily work. The B-R wire was a lil corroded and the pin came out of the connector. I removed both wires from both ends of the connector and temporarily shorted them and was able to get the passenger seat working. I'll be looking at buying some of those connectors and replacing it.
