I have wanted an Ultra Luxury LS for about 10 years and this one fell into my lap. I am also picky about color combos. Black interior was a must and Silver is my favorite color! Couldn't pass it up at that price. The car also passed VA state inspection and emissions with no issues. I have put 500 miles on it over past 5 days. Every single thing works. The only thing that needs attention is the front pads and rotors need to be replaced (warped) and it sounds like every speaker is blown. (at least the front door speakers are) Otherwise I am extremely impressed with the features of the car and how it drives. This week it goes on the lift for a detailed once over and I will be checking to see if the timing belt has been replaced. Fingers crossed!

I dont plan to re sell the vehicle and I haven't been keeping up with values of these. What is it worth? 10-12k?
sounds like a nice car in good shape. Depending on exact condition and the buyer, probably around 8k. 10 to 12 would be unlikely. Your car is an 03, 100k miles +, no maint records. These things affect market value, right or wrong

Default 2004 LS430 125k miles

2004 LS430 with 125K miles i paid $9800. Nav/back up cam, park sensors, ML stereo. I traded my 2006 TL with 99k miles and paid 3800. they gave me 6k for my acura TL which could save contacts in the bluetooth and you press the phone button and say "call Bullet" and it auto dialed. Can you manually load contacts in the LS? I can't seem to find any answers.

purchased October 2016.

Very clean, everything worked but the ML amp crapped out on me. I bought a used one and now everything is butter.

While you got a great price to be sure, $10-$12 might be a tad optimistic. It is really the 2004-2006 and especially the 2005-2006's that are getting $12,000 plus. In 2004 is when you got a 6 speed transmission, revised lights and other things.

Regardless and especially once you address the audio, provided it is in excellent shape as described, you well might get close to $10,000. One thing is for sure, for Kia money, you did great. Glad the air shocks are in good order as replacing them would cost almost as much as you paid for the car!

WOW!. Blue book private party is 9-10k I figured the Ultra Luxury cars maybe were sought after and potentially brought more money. Its only worth 8? I hope you are wrong! Regardless I didn't buy it to flip or sell.

I no doubt like the Face lift cars a lot more. Blue book private party is 9-10 so I hope its at least worth that. Regardless didnt buy it to sell it and at what I paid I think it was a killer deal!

The Ultra Luxury's do have a higher valuation on NADA, but there is no option for selecting the UL package on KBB. And considering, with Pre-Collision, the package was almost a $14,000 option, it honestly should have at least a slightly higher value.

I would think that UL is the least desirable? There's an '05 for sale at 17k at the dealer, 6x k miles. Having to replace 4 shocks is a given at some point, so it makes it undesirable at least for me....don't get me wrong, I love looking at pics seeing the 3 buttons on the rear doors, the rear controls, the sport button, the side shades, etc., but just pics, I don't actually want one lol

I couldn't give my UL up! Once you have one for a long period, I don't see how you could live without on. 10 year owner of 2004.

Somehow did not see it when mine got hit which eventually caused me to replace it as I had to go back and forth on replacement value. Thanks for pointing that out as it will certainly help others.
Best,

Nobody rides in the back so who needs all the extra "headaches"? For the random time when you chauffeur your grandmother?

Owning a UL is not about "needs". It is about Luxury and "wants". End of story.

Just picked up an 05 430 with the Modern Tech pckg, smart key and factory 18s and new tires for $9500. 101K miles with the 90K service done. 9/10 interior (black) and 9/10 exterior (silver). Going to replace all the fluids with Amsoil and then consider a more sporty suspension upgrade.

This thread is almost 5 years old. I'm just thinking......what will the post be like in a few years or even 5 years if anyone is still here....Will there be a post that reads....I paid $3500 for a UL 2004 with the rear refrigerator still working... However a few actuators are not working but the engine and trans are like new! LOL.. funny but probably will be true. Great car. After many years I hope it is never forgotten.
