Default 2001 LS430 thinking of Parting out

hi guys, i was wonder if there is any demand for parts here if i decided to parting out my clean running LS430? It is Blk on Blk, fully loaded with Mark Levinson, Navigation, recently new tires, chrome wheel, clear title, very clean inside, no smoking, good outside, everything work, and car is running great with 179K mi. I got offered less than $10K at Carmax, so i am think parting will get me few thousand more. Just feeling the water here to help me make a decision. thanks for reading.

Is it worth it to have to deal with parting it out for a little more money? Plus no guarantee you would even sell off all the parts and even make the full amount vs just selling it outright.

Put a ad in the paper...You'd be shocked on how many people still use local papers...

I heard you and i don't mind dealing with parting out. I am thinking $3K-4K more than the car is offered is no little money. But if i can get $10K, i will let it go. BTW, parting out could be a summer job for my nephew.

I can tell you that demand comes and goes. You could sell it across craigs, ebay , & here. It's a lot of work and you will have parts, nuts, bolts, etc everywhere. I am not trying to discourage you. You will get more money but it will take time, months. It's a great chance to see how the car comes together and how it's built. So just keep all that in mind.

I hear you and thanks for your input. This might sound crazy, but to have a parts that someone really needed and don't have to pay oem price is very satisfaction. I have a nephew that he can do parting out for summer job
