Thank goodness the LS430 isn't on the same (low) level of any Chrysler/Fiat.

I just drove a rental compass on my ski trip to tahoe. The thing was junk. No snow Boo Hoo!

They sure are doing alot of adds, hope the 300 is not like what movies are like when they advertise on TV. Give me Chrysler reliability I will go Audi A8 used.

Chrysler 300 hemi - overpowered tub with armored car style slot windows...the insides a sea of cheap looking soon to be broken plastic crap.

I occasionally rent cars on business and will do almost anything to avoid the Chrysler products. Yep, I know I am biased as hell, I really don't like anything about Chrysler cars.

In terms of comparison with LS430? ...completely different cars with a completely different demographic...not sure even where to start. In terms of particle physics, I would say Lexus is the anti-particle to Chrysler.

I believe the 300 was based on an old E-class that was designed in the early 90s (back when they were with Merc). Couple that with Chrysler engineering (mmmm....about as appealing as receiving an STD....) it's not even on the level of an IS, let alone the LS. That owner was trying to make himself feel better about paying 2x as much for a car 2 x 10^infinity times worse than an LS430.

The 300 is a joke! We all know the ls430 is far superior.

I think you could've answered this question on your own... But LS430 for the record. A Chrysler has never been in the same class as a Lexus.

My wife and I rented a new 300 for a weekend back in 2009, and I'll admit that it was comfortable enough. We liked it. But then, we'd never driven a Lexus anywhere, much less an LS.

Comparing the two now, it's pretty clear: in terms of reliability and true luxury, the LS is far superior. Why do you think the 300 sells for so much less when new compared to the LS?

i just don't think most people have driven many different types of cars. my sister just bought her third ford. and i almost had her convinced to at least check out a different brand, she claims to have looked at the interior of a rav 4 and a honda crv or something but ultimately test drove the ford escape and then purchased it.

i just don't see not giving different brands a try. believe me, i've test driven a few mercs, bmw's, lots of infiniti's (used to own one as well), even mitsubishi's & toyotas, and others, before making my choice. i just don't think the general public gives other brands the time of day. brand loyality is a hard thing to break,,, good thing i'm not very loyal

the guy in the Chrysler was not only dupped into purchasing a sub-par product - he was also brainwashed by Chryslers new marketing scheme. but don't worry, the mistake he made will eventually sink in. deep.
poor little fella.
