Well paid the premium price for the storage bin Part# 58810-50020-E1 from Lexus of South Atlanta. Just received it today, haven't opened it yet but I did get it. $243.74 and outlandishly costly shipping cost- $28.95 to NC. Only to find it on L PARTS for 256.00 free shipping. Lesson learned! No big deal though. Hope its easy to install. I had such tunnel vision to get the part, I didn't research the install. Just don't want to scratch anything at this point. Thanks for the help guys!!

ghost80 would you consider sending me the ashtray and lighter. mine does not work, and I don't need any more storage space, just want the lighter to work

That looks nicer but doesn't seem as deep as just pulling out the ashtray insert, let alone the cost of the swap. The only other reason I would go for the storage tray is the position of the charger. Currently, I'm using a combo charger and magnetic phone stand. It works well but gets crowded when using the drink holder.

The storage box is not technically a "factory option." It's called a dealer-offered "accessory." Like satellite radio - called an "accessory" for the '04 - '06 model years that are "satellite radio ready" from the factory, but need the satellite radio tuner and antenna to be installed by the dealer.

so I replaced the fuse, and still no good. the fuse was blown so for a moment I thought.....anyway for what the dealer wanted to replace the receptacle I could buy 200 Bic lighters. the lighter in the backseat does work. the center console lighter is a cigar lighter, and the backseat is for a cigarette. anybody want to sell the receptacle from their no longer needed ashtray?

Front cigar assembly
I would have to install the new bin and make sure I'm happy with it (lid color) I read on here the lids are interchangeable. But when I opened my package and looked at the lid it didn't seem so easy. I'm not an interior guy though. I'd much rather mechanically work on the car than work with interior pieces. If my install goes good. I wouldn't need my cigar lighter assembly. I may be able to get to it over the weekend ,not sure yet.

Thank you Tom57, you are a gentleman and a scholar. However it is far beyond my capabilities to take apart the console to fix something that I can live without. I probably would never get around to replacing the receptacle even if I had one in my hand. Still love those turn signal mirror covers. I made an offer on a Custom Luxury last week, don't want to get rid of my car, but I can get the car for what the options cost new, what do you think? '06 with 92,000 miles less than $13,000

I'd seriously consider that CL '06. Do the usual due diligence and check maintenance history. Was the TB/WP done at 90K miles? The CL is a really nice optioned LS. They're not making anymore

strange car, both on carguru and cardirect. its a 5 hour drive, but a 10 hour bus ride for me...very weird Carfax, says 1 owner, but sold 4 times and at this dealer for years. no on timing belt but regular oil changes. I think it is worth a upgrade to Custom Luxury, but no on the PCS.

Our '01 has the "storage box" but the 12v station is in the opposite location then the pictures above. I have one of those cheap smart phone holders with an FM repeater and it is working out fine so far.....
