Suggested Plush Summer Floor Mats
My OEM carpeted mats are now, by default, my winter mats since Lexus doesn't sell the winter mats anymore. What would you recommend for plush summer mats?
- LS430 OEM mats: http://lexus.sewellparts.com/accesso...2005/2938.html
- LS460 Premium (awfully pricey) mats: http://lexus.sewellparts.com/accesso...2008/2868.html
- Lloyd Luxe mats: http://www.autoanything.com/floor-ma...cleModelID=673
- Something else?

My suggestion is the OEM mats. I have had good luck cleaning and washing my LS mats, the Ecru comes out looking like new. (My '97 LS mats still look great.) First, they are soaked and then scrubbed with a brush in a laundry tub. Then, the washing machine on the longest, heavy duty cycle with alot of detergent and oxyclean. After, hang them out to dry overnight.
For winter, a set of tan rubber mats from Sam's Club looks and works great for $20. More coverage under the gas pedal, dead pedal and wider then the Lexus OEM winter mats that I never use.

At what temperature do you set the washing machine?
Is there no problem due to the weight of the wet mats? (you see, I am not a washing machine expert...)

I've got a set of Bellezza mats in mine (got them from a vendor here on CL) and left them in over the winter... they fared well.
Only dislike about them is the metal trim that holds the heavier-duty heel pad for the driver's mat. I like to drive sock/barefooted on long trips and sometimes need to shift my foot position to miss the metal piece. I peeled the metal label emblem tags off.
My LS is black so don't know how good the match is on other colors.

I've decided that I don't care for any mats with metal badges, etc. I will likely order the Lloyd mats as they served me well in the past in my vette and CTS.

I bought a set of LS460 mats but i felt they were too short in the back when i have my front pass seat all the way up. I bought 2 rear mats from a long wheel base version from a member here and i feel they look perfect. Front mats from LS460L and LS460 SWB are the same only the rears are different length.

My thread on the 460 premium mats
Almost 3 years now, I still love them 100%. They looks like the same material and thickness as the Bellezza mats, but OEM Lexus is always cooler if they make them. They make the car that much more luxurious, luxury is the point of the LS If you put the premium mat next to the stock 430 mats, it is a huge differences in looks and feels.

Update:
I received the Lloyd Luxe mats today:
- The fit is perfect. They fit closer to all edges than the stock mats. The rear mats are not interchangeable.
- The black is really deep black and looks blacker than my 6 year old black interior. I suspect that within a couple of months of use and vacuuming, the match will be fine.
- Speaking of deep - the pile of the luxe mats is VERY deep. Not ****, but way more pile than one would expect in a floor mat. Maybe too much - except probably for you VIP folks.
