that's normal. To get rid of it you need to enhance your reflexes =)

what is it with me today?

Feeling peppy...

no seriously, I've seen mods where you can eliminate lag and alter other performance characteristics by attaching some computer to your ECU. Not sure how well those work or if they are even necessary on such a powerful car...

First off, congrats on the new car. This has been a pretty popular topic on here lately. It's normal b/c the car is has drive by wire (no physical throttle cable) and the LS is designed to give a smooth takeoff. All these factors should make a bit of a hesitation especially if you're coming from something sporty. However, I have never noticed said hesitation. Mine only requires the slightest tap of the gas pedal.

Check the ECT switch on the center console and make sure it's not in snow mode. Also, put it in sport mode and see if it makes any difference. Then, read up here on disconnecting the battery to reset everything.

Glad to be of some help! Caddyowner brings up a good point too, snow mode starts you off in 2nd gear.

Theres a supplement to the owner manual- When pulling out into traffic, attempt to run into the car perpendicular to you. Your Lexus has been designed to allow this manuever.

Edit, my main problem has been on ice. The traction control shuts off the throttle when pulling into traffic. Combine that with steep banks of snow blocking my view and now in that condition I turn off vsc.

The car is just automatically cutting power to the wheels losing traction (traction control) and/or braking for you then cutting power (VSC).
