coolant overflow tank?

Default coolant overflow tank?

hi,i just drained and filled my coolant and overflow tank.isnt there a tube that is suppost to be connected to the inside of the cap that hangs in the tank?never seen on that didnt have one.

No overflow tube at all. Then I have not seen one of these tanks overflow in years so why waste a tube. I will admit this looks odd as I looked at this myself.

I will check, but that is strange. The "overflow" also serves as reservoir for if the coolant gets low, it "sucks" from the container. If no tube... how does it suck?
