HI EVERYBODY:
Please help, recently purchased a beautiful vehicle with steering wheel problem: won't move in/out, while up/down works. I don't get any noise when try to move in/out. So far checked fuses #1, 19 and 24 they are fine.

I check related posts and it seems that usual concern is tilt feature up/down.
Guys please assist if anyone has ideas

I had the same problem. Luckily, it failed at the fully extended position. $550 to my dealer fixed the problem.

The in and out is what typically breaks. It is a complex part to replace, so the dealer is your best solution for this repair. While you have it in there for repair, ask the dealership to turn OFF the Auto exit steering wheel functionality to extend the life of the new motor (unless you absolutely can't get in or out easily without that feature). My dealer turned it off for free.

i had this too, the telescoping was out. the motor was fine, but apparently the steering column had seized and needed to be replaced. It was like $1600 but covered under my CPO warranty.

Thanks for your inputs. Mine isn't covered by CPO warranty, seems that I would have to shell out a lot.
