Age of LS430 owners! (The Mother thread)
#76
I have a car for each purpose...
-LX470 for family road trips, which often include offroad excursions
-sports car w/ 5spd manual and LS for daily drivers
I went through the mod thing w/ my previous toyota 4runner (modded suspension, audio system, seats, bars, wiring harnesses, etc.) I finally got fed up w/ the noise (engine, exhaust, offroad tires), lack of acceleration, and firm suspension, plus my sports car already has a firm suspension. I wanted something quiet and cushy that I could relax in on the drive to/from work, and since I used to be a serious audiophile, the Levinson is the way to go. After thorough research, I went w/ the LS (2nd owner, 43 yrs old). This is my 6th car in 25 yrs...all have been Toyota/Lexus or Hondas made in Japan. None have left me stranded although the alternator brushes finally wore out on my 4runner after 21 years.

turning 30 this year. i had a lexus sc400 before. unfortunately mother nature got to it. i loved the quality of the lexus and its safety. so i decided i needed a bigger car. was aiming for a ls400 but nothing in my area was good enough for there asking price. so i saw an ad for a ls430. which was my long term goal. the price and mileage i couldnt pass up. so i picked it up. i didnt care about the old person image because it is a wonderful car.

26 years old. i had an addition to my family so i decided to splurge. bought from the original owner. i went from a sr20det hardbody nissan to a ls430. very big jump for me. going from a tire smoking toy to a big sedan took some getting used to. still got the hardbody though.

you know what Jayclapp buddy!!!
Okay, I'll be the first to admit that I'm 71!
With due respect to all you "kids", where are all the older folks like me that are supposed to be the majority of LS owners? Do they not understand computers and the web? Do they think they already know everything and have no need for a forum like this? Are they so well off that they have already gotten rid of their LS430's? Do they just enjoy their LS430s and don't feel a need to gloat over it to others?
Frankly, I'm pleased to find that so many young people have a desire for and the ability to own LS430's. I thoroughly enjoy being a part of this forum. Keep up the good work and sharing with others.

I like the cars reliability and value. I feel confident when I drive my automobile and I have no desire for a new one which in these economic times is priceless! Lexus isnt the average mans car, its the WISE MANS CAR!! HHAHAHAHA! Hello fellow WISEMEN/WISEWOMAN!!! L.G.N.M

I remember when I was 33 and the retired neighbor who always drove Caddys brought this new car home in 1990. Never heard of it before but liked it on first sight. Very classy. It was called a Lexus LS400. And my neighbor loved it. He kept buying them every two years. Never any more Caddy's.
When I turned 50, I saw a used 98 LS400 in the paper and decided to go look at it because I remembered how much my friend had liked his. I ended up buying it and loved it just like my retired neighbor had. I am now on my second Lexus...LS430. And now 53, gray hair and all.

I'm 26. Bought the car almost 2 years ago. It's my first Lexus and probably the only brand I will buy from now on. Reliability!!!!! Omg, I don't have to worry my car may brake down on a long trip. I stopped using my roadside assistance with my Lexus - I just don't need it. Maintain a Lexus and it will repay you with trouble free operation for a very long time. Hell, maybe it'll even outlive you. Jk.

One down of my list, that i have to own before i die.... 3 more to go...my first lexus and i love it..so smooth... but almost feels too luxurious ... i am even afraid to sit on the leather with my jeans and crazy belts in case it will rip /tear / scratch it.... haha..
