I don't drive this car nor am near it as its my fathers where they live, but I wanted to know if this car has the input or not...the reason I ask is because my dad has tons of songs he'd like to play from his iphone in the car and I am pretty sure the car has it though I didn't recall seeing it in the glove compartment or the armrest? It would be sad if this car didn't have it and a 2006 IS does...

seems cheaper (though sound quality sucks) to use the tape deck converter...

I never understand how the flagship sedan doesn't have options that the base model of the entry level sedan does...

tape player is the cheapest and easiest

regarding option, it's the year when it was introduced.
With lexus, they give you the cassette player all the way to even 07

Plus CD Changer was optional on S430, not S500 for your information... S500 it was standard... When my mother in law was shopping for S430/500 in 2002, the only difference in two cars was engine, leather quailty, HID, and CD Changer...

I dont think Tape Deck sounds that bad, I run my DVD changer through the tape deck...

maybe on 2002, but when I ordered my 2001, it was optional. My exact words to the salesman:
"Are you $#@% kidding me???"..........ok, except for the french words
