Thanks Tee! I will check it out.

[QUOTE=caddyowner;5358304]As great as my LS430 is, there are some little things that bug me. (What good would a forum be without whiny complaints?)

- Interior lighting: I open the door and, and, and, at last the stage lights slowly come up. Enough of the drama, Lexus. Theater lighting for dimming is one thing. Blackness when you open the door is another.

Caddy...I noticed this tonight...When I left the grocery store I walked up and the interior lights were already illuminated by the time I was able to open the door... maybe there is a setting?

Good point. I'll have to put it on my list the next time I go in for service.

So...if I understand this correctly, ALL your interior lights were ON (at/near full brightness), even before you opened a door? Can you tell if the individual passenger seat lighting turned on or was it just the overhead lights or was it ALL interior lights? Did you see them ramp up in brightness? If so, when did they ramp up/turn on?

If you didn't see them ramp up/turn on, are you 100% sure you didn't leave the overhead light on? lol

they definitely ramped up. In fact I was just thinking about that five minutes ago...I took out the trash and then went to my car to get my dry cleaning. They ramped up and were pretty much full by the time I opened the door. Maybe I just move a little slower than everyone else

Like you said, that's has to be a setting, because none of my interior lights turn on until a door is opened. Only the puddle lamps ramp on when I approach the car with the smartkey. I like your setting better.

Ok. While you're out there, make sure the lid is tight on the trash can. Also, we need milk and bread.

There is a piece of paper on my front seat that you can see when I walk up because the interior lights turned on. Then you can hear the beep beep and then I open the door and close the door...
well... the file faile. IT is a 3.1 MB ".mov" file. As I said in previous post... if you PM me then I will send the file to you.
It definitely lit up prior to my opening the door.

Yep - with the smart key option (even on my lowly Premium model) the interior lights come up when I am about 3 feet from the car.

I've been having this problem lately where I've been seeing knock off LS styling on this poorly done car by Ford... I think it's called a 500 or something... Keifer Sutherland's voice is soothing and convincing but I hate seeing them around.
