Default Pictures of my 05

It took a little while to get around to taking a few pictures but here they are.
This is the car that had 11,500 miles on it when I picked it up about two weeks ago.
Needless to say I am very happy with the car and amazed at how much power the small engine has.

nice *** car man, congrats.. i just broke 60k on my 05 coming back from nyc yesterday... nice odo you got there. its also funny that today the 4.3 is not considered all that big. back in like 02 when i was living in okinawa i remember seeing a 4.5L v8 on some big sedan and thinking that it was just huge,, today they are making them much larger and all that more powerful so the 300hp 4.3 doesn't seem that big anymore to me either in the grand scheme of things (big sedan land)...

Under the right light conditions, that pearl white is one of the most beautiful colors I've seen on any car.

I've heard its difficult to match or blend if auto body / repaint work is necessary...

Thanks for all the goods words.

Yes the car is Moonlight Pearl and I am just thrilled with the color.

Now when I say small engine I need to let you guys know I am from the REAL old school. I was 9 and into cars already when in 1955 Chevy introduced their first V-8 engine. It was 265 cubic inches and as I recall it put out about 150 HP. Now near as I can tell 4.3 litres is about 262 cubic inches 3 short of the 1955 Chevy and puts out nearly double the HP of the early Chevy. Today if we were to race a stock 1955 Chevy up against an LS 430 it would be a massacre. The improvements in technology are nothing short of amazing from where I see it.
Back in the late 60’s I had a rudimentary but rather quick Dodge that at the time would ran about 14:50 at the drag strip at about 98 MPH. My super refined 430 can match or maybe even beat those numbers in marvelous comfort with an engine that is 78 cubic inches SMALLER than my Dodge had.
Again from the old school thinking to me a large engine is well in excess of 400 cubic inches and often passed the 500 cubic inch mark. The kinda stuff I have been running in high performance boats for many years. Now that is a large engine.

Thanks again for the good words and needless to say I am thrilled with the car.

Ahh I understand now Ventura. I never knew the times when engines were that physically large in cubic size. It's interesting how power efficiency has changed. I thought you might be comparing it to a Merc 6.3 or something.

Beautiful car (brand new essentially) and thanks for the pics.
