Easiest way I know of is to keep half dozen bottles of water sitting inside the back door, and when ice gets on the car. Pour it on... Did it last year to the wifes van, worked great... not hot water, as it could cause something to crack with the quick temp change.

I've seen cars with the windshield all scratched up from broken wiper blades, and some using metal meat flippers to scrape the Ice away. I think the Lexus might have a bit soft glass, as I've seen several people mention pitting on theirs. Don't know, is there such a thing as soft glass?

That's what I did (used water) when I lived in TN and we'd have ice. Or if I'm traveling and get up to an icy morning, that's what I do. Seems to work pretty well. Frozen precipitation is a PITA with vehicles any way you deal with it. BTW, did I mention for you northern guys that this is the 20 year anniversary for the last time there was any snow here?

Let's not go there... I was on Tundra board, and some of those guys were wild for Obama, and it really hurt the board. Let us stick to cars, or even a truck or two.. but leave Obama to his OJT, (On Job Training),
