My Glove Box RATTLES!!!! pretty annoying at times
My Ls got 20k miles now and this glovebox rattles when I hit bumps. Its not the contents inside. It seems to be coming from the lock mechanism. When I close it and push on it with some moderate force, it goes away for a while....then comes back after some time
What should I do ??? Should I spray away with WD 40? Does anyone else have this problem??

Yeah, my glovebox is full like you joked about Budhah. I need to clean mines out. I get some rattles in areas of my dash at times but, i never let it bother me. L.G.N.M

WD40 is the Devil when it comes to locks. Never spray it into a keyhole. WD40 can also cause stains that are difficult or impossible to remove.
If you have to use a spray lubricant, use clear silicon spray. Better yet, figure out the problem and fix it instead of covering it up with a libricant'

I hope this helps, and/or I would be happy to take a picture of what I did.
Good Luck!

One small piece in each corner. There is a little rubber cone shaped grommet in each corner that I believe is what is failing over time. The size of felt you use is dependent upon the gap. I just used the furniture pad type that had a peel and stick backing (that I also trimmed to a small size). When the glove box closes snugly the rattle will be eliminated.
