Finally !!!
Waow and Wow about sums up this car.
You're the guy that asked about if it's okay to run on regular fuel right? So I guess the car looked enough to buy. Now it's yours to decide if you want premium or regular..

17 for now... Bought and installed nice winter tires on them this morning.
Freaking global warming. We already got snow around here.
Exterior is mystic gold metallic (4P7 I think)
Interior is beige. Lexus no longer makes the floor mat in beige and I’m missing the driver side one. So I ordered them in black (the only color still available). I think it will look nice (black mats on beige)
>ALRIGHT !!! You've now entered a much bigger world my friend.
I know. Thats awsome.
>Can you feel the Force surrounding it?
That's the only thing I can feel.
Cause I don't feel the road or ear outside noises anymore.
It's like driving in space.

Yep... That's me. It will run on premium
I'll put some pics later. Probably early next week. But the thing is, it's bone stock so there is nothing "special" about it.
I'm looking for mudflaps. Buying them from Lexus is just plain crazy. They ask 900$ for the set.
I found this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/LEXUS...Q5fAccessories
But none of the color match mine. I wonder if black would look nice?

Beautiful...
It's "special" to us... because we all care. I see so many stock black LS430s on the road, and every time I pass one I still think... dag, that's a beautiful car. Then I remember "hey, I got one too..."

"It will always run on premium"
Why? Don't believe the hype.
I once was obsessed with this issue. I read alot online about it. Funny answer I got from some Nasa level engineers: Basically cars like Mercedes, Porche, etc. make cars they recommend you run on premium. They sell these and market them worldwide. Guess what? Premium fuel isn't available in all countries, doh! They don't make cars that wouldn't run in all markets they have a dealership, now would they? These NASA guys opined about the engines, which are tinker toys compared to what they work with, and agreed they can easily adjust to what is given to them. There are no long term effects to going cheap gas. You won't lose performance either, these LS engines are not high spirited at all, but marketing will probably get your goat, just like Chevron gas says it "cleans" your engine rofl, that gets me everytime.
Only two cars I had that NEEDED premium:
Corvette Z06
64 Ford Thunderbird 429 V8

On regular vs premium cleanliness. I totally agree with you. I’m right by large petroleum refineries. Quality is heavily regulated around here, our regular is just as clean as the premium.
So overall, it’s all about the Octane. If the computer is good enough to adjust then it’s not an issue at all.
Add to your list Mustang Cobra (SVT) 1996 and Subaru STi both knocking on regular.

Is the LS430 community as crazy as the Subaru STi community?
I mean, when two Scooby STi meet, it’s almost like a bird mating rituals.
We also have a forum: “Who was that?” where we ask who was the owner at the corner of such and such street in that city. And if he didn’t salute properly, he is going to be publicly flamed.

However you can purchase EOM from one of the Forum suppliers L-Tuned in Calif for $280. Don't know if they are painted. See following:

snow in AZ???
I never seen snow in AZ for the 3 years we lived there. Maybe b/c we we're in Phoenix.
$300 for those mudflaps? Maybe it's good for the snow , but I can see $300 can be spent else where.
For my sienna, color-matched mudflaps were only $60
You'll love it here since the members are nice and respectable.
We're a little mellow in the LS section since it is a "Grandpa" car, but the youngin's and young-at-heart are taking over

I'm not from the US... ;-) I'm up North in Canada.
A painted set for 500$ at the dealer. Give me your dealer's name. Mine is asking ~$220x4
I'm in my mid 40's so I guess I qualify for the young-at-heart.

I wonder how much a bodyshop can charge to paint the mudgards if they do not come painted.
