modification... do you plan on changing any parts i.e. lowering the car, adding wheels, window tint, changing out lights, adding a body kit; these types of things???

uhu mod is abbreviation of modification. No I don't think that I'm going to do mod. I'm not type of person that do a lot of mod. I usually like to keep the car as it came from the manufacture. unless there is something make the car ugly, I try to fix it.

well the grill is prolly the first thing that i would 'mod' on the q45, then tint, wheels, stance (ride height), etc... i think it is a fairly ugly car stock. just a little uglier than a stock ls430

lol, that frontal pic makes it look like a Buick...from what i've researched (i was looking at the M45) infinity has issues. of course, so does lexus. i would check out a few infiniti forums to see what is a 'normal occurrence' as far as issues go. ie, i never knew about the 3gs rattle issues until joining CL...and i own a 3gs...lol

but i have seen some fine examples of vip versions of the q45 (just go to google, images, and search for f50 vip or q45 vip) that almost rival vip ls430's or celsiors in my opinion. the cima and president versions have always been some of my favorite nissan/ infiniti models.

i much prefer these grills and front ends

i used to rock an old (95 Y33) nissan (infiniti) gloria (M) in japan

For what it's worth, I just recently picked up an 02 LS430 UL.

I currently have an '08 IS-F and the other family car is a '02 GS300 (which used to be mine).

My previous car was an '06 Infiniti M45, and before that an 04(?) FX45.

Both manufactures make GREAT cars targeted at different segments. While recently car shopping, I cross shopped the LS430 with the Acura RL and the Infiniti M(35). I found a Q45 online but personally find the interior to be hideous so wrote it off. Depreciation is also a big factor with those cars, too (Q45's).

The LS and the Infiniti M are in a league of their own, the Acura RL struggles to follow the pack. The LS430 is clearly quicker than the M35, and way quicker than the RL. The RL is painfully slow. The quality of materials in the LS is second to none in my opinion - even the newer infiniti interiors are not quite as nice. The only thing I think infiniti has on lexus is technology; I prefer Infiniti's Navi/HVAC/etc interface over Lexus'.

Hope this helps. Good luck.

If his Infinite burns through that much oil (which is a bad thing isnt it? doens't that it's leaking oil into the fuel?) then no wonder they don't recommend changing oil that often. he's putting a fresh quart of oil every week. He only really needs to change it to clean up the filter.

Wish the LS had a interior door handle like this one! Our doors open wide and I alway find myself grabbing the top of the door to close it. : )

Having owned an 2004 Infiniti M45, and now an 03 LS430, I can say that the LS was the better overall vehicle. But it all depends what you are looking for. I also considered a Q45 prior to my LS, but then I took the test drives and was sold on the LS. I know Road and Track did a comparison of the 03 Ls and Q. I know I have the comparo on my computer somewhere. Lets see if it attaches. Good luck with the search. Hope this helps!
