check engine light
The check engine light just came on at 59,134 miles. Is this a routine thing? Can I pick up an OBDII scanner and find out what the computer is saying before having a shop charge me a million dollars to do the same thing?
Thanks,
David

Go to autozone or almost any other auto parts store and have them pull the code for you, then we can look it up and post what may be wrong. It could be minor or major. You never know. Autozone will do it for free.

If you pull the codes or have someone pull the codes beware of the vsc/vsc off light that may come on after you clear it and take a test drive. there is a post that others have posted as well at the one I posted about a DIY for Oxygen Sensors that goes into detail on the 2 pins you need to jump to clear that light if it gets set. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls4...ensor-1-a.html
Good luck.
Good luck.

Took it to Autozone as per you guys suggestions. No trouble codes! Well, I tinkered around with the "info" menu and lo and behold it's just a change the oil message. What a relief!!!
Thanks for the help, all y'all!
