Default New to Club Lexus

Hi: just wanted to post that I am a new member. I recently purchased a 2004 LS430. I really love the car. It's Black Onyx with a grey/black interior. I just bought and installed a sunroof wind deflector and a trunk spoiler ( a small one to give the lid some detail ). I also just purchased a rear window spoiler but haven't installed it yet. The interior and exterior of the car a mint. I actually purchased the car at an Acura dealer in NH and when we ran the Carfax came to find out it was originally sold out of the Lexus dealer not 2 miles from my house in Mass. I guess it has the typical problem of the door lock actuators failing and have already seen a DIY for that. I'll probably fix them when the weather gets better. The 4.3litre engine is smoothe and silky. Everyone thinks it's a brand new car. The dealer says it was very well maintained by the previous owner. John

Welcome. Go to lexus.com and register the VIN as yours on the owners section so you can view the service history and verify the dealer claim of "well maintained." How many miles and what trim level?

115,000 miles when I purchased it. Not sure of the trim level...I think just "L". Doesn't have the power seats in back but they are heated. How do I post pics of it? thanks!

save the pics to your computer and then when you're typing a message on the "quick reply", there's some icons above the message box with one of them being a squiare with a mountain on it or something which is "attach image" box. click on it and save the pics you want to add.

A lot of service posted on lexus.com. Transmission replaced early in car's life. Doesn't show the timing belt/water pump being done but there's a sticker in the engine bay that says it was. I'll just ask the dealer the next time I'm there. Thanks!

beautiful ride. like the small lip spoiler you have. are you planning on doing anything custom to it? dark tinted windows and some black or chrome rims would look nice. looks practically brand new inside and out. good find.

Thanks! Just ordered another spoiler for the upper rear window...also in black. Haven't thought about wheels yet since New England winters aren't the best for Chrome or black wheels. I also need to fix the front door lock actuators as they don't work. Was wondering if anyone has tried to put newer outside mirrors on that have the directionals on them?! The interior and exterior are very clean!

It appears that you have the Premium trim level with optional 18" alloy wheels. The SmartAccess system was optional, but most every car had it. It has a large fob with an end you can optionally use to turn the ignition. (I always leave it in my pocket.) It also has a slide-out key to unlock the doors, trunk, and ignition if the battery in the fob dies.
