use 15mm front and 20mm in the back, the wheels should sit flush.

now that everyone is on this subject just wondering i have read other trends where they say spacer put to much stress on the car ball joint ..bolts and etc.. and kinda messes with the alignment is this true......

and also is it bad to purchase a universal spacer from a locale rim shop like the ones they sell on ebay?????

I would imagine if you put too big a spacer, that it could result in excessive cross sheering forces on the ball joint. I would imagine that ideal placement of all parts would be where there is just longitudinal forces along the ball bearing and no side to side force.

With everything said, I'm sure Lexus has made a far superior ball joint to withstand any failures. Also, any premature failures will probably not occur well into the 150K range, or longer.

It does in away. I had spacers on my other LS and did have to get my car re-aligned quite often.

avoid all problems and get the spacers that have their own studs. You bolt the spacer to the studs on the hub and then bolt the wheel to the studs on the spacers. Project Kics or H&R are a couple of good brands to look at.

I think those type can work only with VERY thick spacers -- far thicker than we're talking about for the LS.

the smallest spacer available with its own studs are 20mm.from what i'ved seen.using spacers will put some stress on your wheel bearings and make them wear out faster.using low offset wheels will do that too.

ichiba sells bolt-on adapters that range from 15-25mm.
http://www.ichiba-usa.com/lslsls.html

plus you won't need centering rings, these are hubcentric to toylex cars at 60.1mm centerbore.

only catch is that the OEM wheels have to have spaces in them for the oe-studs to protrude
(look like this:
they can NOT be solid.)

if they are solid then you can't really use any adapters, you'll have to to get something like Ichiba's V1 spacer and some extended studs to press into your hub, more work but you wouldn't really have a choice.

Can anyone verify if stock 04-06 LS430 18" 5-spoke wheel has dimples like that at the back of the wheel?
