How do the factory shocks hold up to the lowering? I am debating on just springs or coilovers. I would love to just go springs if they do not destroy the shocks. I am not looking for performance like with other cars, just want the lower stance. I'm not really digging the factory stance.

You meant the springs sagged over time?

The life span would be shorter by a little, just like any other stock shocks on lowering springs. But whatever it is, it still last longer then Tein CST coilover and definitely air bags. Also the stock shocks are much cheaper and much easier to get then a Tein coilover replacement shock or air bags.

That is why the stock shock is my choice, I have factory air bags now in my UL.

Thanks for the info, I may pick up some Tanabe springs in the next week or two. The only other question is that shouldn't the TEIN shocks on the coilovers last a long time? I thought they would be good for 5+ years. On most tuner cars I thought the shocks should be very little worry with coilovers.

Very few tuner cars are actual real daily driver that see 10k~20k miles per year, sure the shocks would last 5 years, but the car was only driven 5000 miles in that 5 years

Thank you so much for looking out, and please keep showing me any LS430 with any kind of lowering springs on that you run across.

That drop is perfect, 100% exactly what I want.

I am also 100% sure that is not Tanabe lowering springs alone, maybe he cutted the springs, or got the SS kit on top of the springs. And most likely, he mistaken Tanabe coilover as lowering springs.

Or in most cases, that picture is taken with some other suspension set up that he had other then the Tanabe lowering springs.

I really appreciate you showing me though, regardless of what it is

Topshottaz also mention something about his springs sagged, but sagged that much only on the front but not the back?

True, but the LS430's butt is not exactly light weight
