Default Mystic Gold Metalic

What is your opinion on this color?

I had never considered it, as I was fixed on white or moonlight pearl and have been looking around for a while. Then out of no where up pops this 2006 UL in MGM color, 23k on the clock. Lease return, all service records, nice shape and very clean. Thanks!

i think thats more of an old persons color myself, or someone who would put some gold rims on it with some tint and lots of speakers... thats what i got from looking at the color personally.

Default So Subjective...

I don't care for it myself, but color is subjective. I also would never buy a car if the color wasn't one I liked....no matter the deal, etc.

As long as I owned it, I would be bothered about the color.

If you love it, go for it. If not...keep looking. Don't let anyone let you believe that a car is rare...that production line was and is cranking them out every day.

I would not buy a color i dont like no matter what. It might sound like a good idea when your excited about buying, but as soon as you see one in the color you wanted, regret takes over.

Youre spending a lot of money, might as well make sure it what you want.

slightly offensive: hence the term "old man gold"

But as long as you like it.

Well hell, I am old. I guess it is time to show my age. I'm a little tired of all the primary colors. It also reminds me of the champagne color that used to be on the older Cadillacs from the 60's.

By far, these are my 2 favorite gold/or champagne color
As for the LS, I haven't any nice one yet.

That color was also available in two tone trim for the 98 LS400 model year. That sadly was the last year it was offered.

on certain applications the color looks really nice,, i.e. after it is waxed and at the right angle with some nice chrome accents or at night time with a lot of city lights as reflections again after a nice waxing job, but i think in most real life situations it just looks dull and much like an old man color. not that this is a bad thing, just a little boring. my least favorite color is silver (other than like pink and yellow and red), and this seems way to close to silver for me.. but there are a lot of silver car freaks out there so i am sure there is a wide audience for this color as well.

Default Mystic Gold Metallic

I found a few in this color........

It is not my cup of tea like the others, I beleive you will have buyers remorse should you choose a color car you don't like. You will have to live with seeiing everyday, day in & day out! Also when you see the color you wanted pass by or parked that voice in the back of your head will pop in saying Dayum...I should have taken my time and waited for the color I wanted!!

But then again you still have an LS430 UL, and get over really quickly.

Yup, I think it's the worst looking color of all on the LS430, I've seen it in person before too, but at least Mystic Gold Metallic is still better than the Golden Almond Metallic offered on current Lexus models ...

Nice pics Tee, thanks!

I don't have to worry about seeing another one in a different color, if I can pull this off it would be the only LS430 in town. I've seen 2 LS400s, and a bunch of RXs, and a few GXs.

Silver not for me either, seems like you see silver every where, it has been too over done, imho.
