Anyone Buy An Ultra Lately?
I have been looking at some Ultras lately, both 2005 & 2006 and was wondering what the market has been like? Anyone know of any actual prices paid? Year and mileage? Thanks!

There was less than 700 UL's made between 2005-2006... that may affect the price and availability.
Check here for the number of UL's produced by Lexus between 2001-2006.

Black Book
Thought about trading/selling my 2002 UL a few weeks back. My friend has a successful pre-owned luxury car business.
He showed me the black book where they put a whopping $600.00 premium on an ultra package.
It's the old.....if you want an ultra & look for one - you put value in the Ul, and if you are looking for an LS & don't care about the UL, you don't pay much more for it.

Thanks
I see from the production numbers the 2006s were way down with the Ultra trim, makes sense now. Finding 2006s has taken longer, more searching etc than the 2005s, so there could be some value there I suppose in having a 2006, last model year.
One Ultra 2006 in Barberry Metallic ended on EBAY today, not meeting the reserve. The buy it now was almost 43K, w/ 21k miles. I think the high bid was around 34k. Most of what I have come across in 2006s is the asking price of 37-41k for lower mileage vehicles. A little less when the vehicle gets closer to 50k miles, which seems high to me for a 2006, but then what do I know. 2005s have ranged between 27.5k for higher miles to 33k for lower mileage vehicles.
I'm leaning towards holding out for a nice 2006, but with only a 101 of them in the USA, it could be the proverbial needle in the haystack to find the right one, much less the right color combination acceptable to the hefa!
Thanks for the input so far!

I recently bought mine from that guy on ebay, Maximum 4 minimum motors in caraopolis pa. It seems he always has 2-3 ULs. With out much effort at all got him down a little over 3k from his asking price. So I was out the door for 20k for an 03 with 50k miles (white with the gray wood (forget what thats called)). He was very easy and pleasent to work with, and Im very happy with the car. He will pick you up at Pburg airport or ship the car for you. Overall good experience.

there pictures always look awesome, better than most. they use this line all the time "This vehicle has never been in or near any kind of accident" this is probably BS, because my car rear bumper had paint work, and I see little over spray on my rear tail lights. But I have a trained eye b/c I was in the car business for a while.

Please, please tell me....
Who would put a vinyl top on an LS? Does anyone think that it looks good?
p.s. Whoever put the link to Ambassador Auto Sales on Ebay (burgundy UL) - that's the best photography I have ever seen on a auto sellers site (non-manufacturer). Those folks could make a good living snapping cars for sale for others.
