aftermarket radio in ls430?
#63
Does anyone know if audio output from Mark Levinson radio and player is digital or analog?
I am thinking to connect mirabox to my nav screen on LS430 and switching audio signal by 4 relays. But I am not sure what signal input is on the mark levinson amp. I know that amplifier is responsible for sound level, balance etc. But it will work when I switch input from radio to mirabox?

I have made wiring aux on ls430 and it works perfect. Sound quality is cery good. To input audio signal I disconnect radio signal by four relays. Volume control, balance, bass, treble etc are controled by amplifier on touch screen. When I turn to cd changer, audio from aux and cd are mixed. So to listen cd, aux should be disconnected.

Beat sonic Kit or new Amp ?
Installer tried to connect Jensen NAv system with TYTO interface. Jensen Nav w TYTO produced Sound in speakers Not in sub. His suggestion was to buy a 4/5 channel amp, run wires to all and I would have a great system. The install price would go up and I would have to buy the amp. My question is should I try the Beatsonic SLA-24A for my 05 LS430. Or go the new amp route? I think the stock factory system sounds great but just looking for best sound quality. It's roughly 200 additional to go the new amp route Vs. Buying the Beatsonic SLA-24A kit ? Any suggestions?

Good evening folks, Just had my Beatsonic and Pioneer 8200NEX installed and thought I share some pics for anyone that is contemplating adding a Pioneer. The Pioneer comes with two USB connectors one for android and one for apple but my wife and I are Android users and so the second USB is in the glove compartment hooked up to a 1TB usb hard drive with my entire music collection. I must say, I was blown away by the 8200nex as it has so many features that is going to take me at least a good month to get around to messing with them. But for now just the basics. The sound is much better than stock as the Pioneer comes with its own equalizer and brings out the sound on my cd quality tracks. Even the radio now sounds better as the head unit is able to pick up HD stations. Enjoy the pics

****{I finally completed the installation of my aftermarket head unit in my 2001 LS430 non-Nav. I learned quite a lot during this project so I am attaching a PDF file that contains my learnings. I retained my OEM amp and speakers and I used the TYTO-01 to interface my new head unit.
Thanks to a number of folks on this forum for their answers to my questions! I hope this helps someone.

Hey Moto, Do you have any solution for this. Have installed aftermarket radio (kenwood) in 03 LS430, but not able to find any harness to connect to steering wheel controls

I have installed mirabox on my LS430 with mark levinson audio. Everythink works fine. I am able to listen mp3/flac and play all most popular video formats form USB - steering by app on the phone. I could also connect my phone by miracast/airplay. Sound quality is very good. Chipset
