Default Squeaky Sun Visors

Whenever I pull the sun visors down (or put them back up), they squeak. I slid them out on the bar and put some lithium grease on it, but they still squeak. Unfortunately, they only slide out halfway, so you can only lubricate half of the bar.

Does anyone know how to get the visor all the way off the bar ?

Thanks,

Walt

What does this mean? If it will fix the visor squeak, how do you apply the tape and to what part?

Did you ever find out how to get the visor all the way off of the bar?

Nope - Since I couldn't get them off (and I'm not paying for new ones), I resorted to injecting silicone lubricant into the visor with a hypodermic needle - Still the same annoying squeaking in hot weather ! I thought that would have fixed it for sure.

My efforts to get them off the shaft are really frustrating. They have to come apart somehow. Any suggestions are still welcome .........

Remember if you get them to stop squeaking they might not stay where you want them.
