Went on a honeymoon of sorts with the wife the other week,a 3800km-long drive across three states to see some of the southern part of the country and to visit friends in Melbourne and Adelaide.
The LS ate it all up with no complaint and made the drive way more comfortable than it had any right to be.
I had to stop at the beginning of the Great Ocean road to take this pic. It's an iconic windy road the runs along some of the most picturesque coastal landscapes Australia has to offer that was built by returned servicemen at the end of the first world war.
Despite being in a luxo barge that's not really built with fast driving in mind, the twisty switchbacks and undulating corners didn't faze the Lexus in the slightest, although my wife was a bit nervous on more than one occasion when I got quite spirited through some of the tighter bends and had the back stepping out and the VSC alarm beeping away...
If any of you ever head over here,it's definitely worth the drive. Rent a car in Melbourne and book an overnight stay in Portland or Warnambool.
