Default May need new front struts. Any ideas ???

I noticed a rattle up front on the right side the other day on the way home. It sounds like a strut to me. I'm taking it to one of the dealerships I do business with tomorrow to put it up on the lift and check it out.

I don't want to get crazy with high performance suspension. Who makes a strut that will enhance the performance a bit without sacrificing too much comfort ? The car is a 2003 LS430 Custom Luxury with 18" wheels and 245/45/18 tires.

It has 96,000 miles on it, so I'll probably end up replacing the fronts and rears while I'm at it. Where is a good place to find the struts/
shocks ?

Thanks,
James

It could be your wheel balace is off. Get them balanced again, if problem still there try to rotate the wheels to make sure you don't have a bent wheel...
The bad shock should not give you a "rattle" feel but a bad ride(bumpier, harsher ride).

No. It's a rattle not a vibration. It happens rolling through a parking lot and hitting a pothole or speed bump.

I didn't get a chance to look at it today, but will tomorrow. Please leave any info you can on shock/strut sources.

Thanks, James

Default rattle

I have the same problem in my left front - It is still under warranty, so I am hoping Lexus covers it.

One more thing, anyone else feel that the seats are uncomfortable? I have a 04 ls with luxury. The seats in the 98 ls I had seemed much more comfortable. FYI, I am 6'1" 185lbs. Just wondering what others think of seat comfort.

I love the seats in my '03 LS430 Custom Luxury. I'm a fat *** too. 6'2'' @ 315.
