Timing belt/Water Pump
Air suspension to coil-over
Fuel injectors/Fuel Injector O-rings
Brakes front and rear

2001 LS bought in 2003 w/40,000 miles.
Currently 204,000 and going strong, daily driver
water pump
timing belt (2X)
radiator
1 fuel injector, 2 ignition coils
brakes/rotors/calipers etc.
Great car, plan to keep to 300K and beyond.
Gripes: 1. constantly drains the battery, many attempts but never been able to diagnose so it's a "plug-in" car (always connect up to trickle charger when parked).
2. Paint job.
3. radio display

2003 LS430 just purchased last Saturday with 143k on it. The dealership did standard oil change and all of that before they put it up for sale. Having some work done on it Tuesday for check engine light, and need to do timing belt and water pump since I do not know if that has ever been done or not.
I am looking at a similar one from a local lexus dealership, 2004 LS 430 117k miles, one owner and serviced at lexus dealer since day one. They're asking 14k.
Not sure how much I should offer. I really like the car

my '05 was made in august '04, it has 114,000 and I am the 3rd owner. not a mechanic so I take it to Lexus for service. all good and I love my car. but when I look at trading for a '07 or an '08 you should hear them howl. "car is only worth 7k,probably have to wholesale as nobody buys these cars at all" . I say it should be worth about 10 and should sell for about 13. when you are buying, they are gold but not so much if you are trading.

I have 277,801 miles on my 2004 Ls. The most recent repair was replacing the radiator fans that stopped operating. Currently my navigation screen doesn't respond accurately when it's pressed. I have tried to trade her in numerous times but the car hasn't given me a good reason to do it. I almost traded her for the new Xj. I equate the LS with a wife who is not the prettiest, the sex may be average and she may have gained a few pounds. But she cooks, cleans, takes care of the kids, caters to your needs, works and will never divorce you. Damn I love my LS.

2004 with 235k miles. Bought May 2008 with 70k miles from a Lexus dealer for $22k (not CPO, they were asking $28k - still feel like I stole it).
Other than routine maintenance, which I do religiously every 5k miles, I have done the big stuff like water pump and timing belt every 90k, drain & refill of transmission fluid (don't remember the interval you do that at), spark plugs every 60k. Last month had to replace a bad O2 sensor. About a year ago had to replace motor in passenger front window. Other than that it has been 165k miles worth of just oil changes & tire rotations. I get it completely detailed in & out every 6 months and did a headlight restoration treatment about a year ago. I always get compliments on how great the car looks given its age and mileage. The interior is virtually flawless with the exception of minor wear on driver side of the center console from my arm resting on it- the seats still look brand new. Been giving serious consideration into moving up to an '11 or '12 LS460 lately...but will be depressed to see how little I can sell the car for. Whoever gets it will be getting a bullet proof tank. And given how little I paid for it, I have definitely gotten my money's worth.

Just as a FYI, for those that purchased super low mileage cars and might have paid premium dollars.......hopefully, you will keep these proven cars for a fairly long period of time. Once our LS430s or any luxury car pass the 100,000 miles mark, the values plummet. Thus, a good reason to purchase a well maintained car with close to 100k for significantly less money. This is probably a moot point because in 5 years all the LS430s between 01-06 will probably retail between $3500-$8,000 as 15-20 year old cars. Another reason to hold on to these gems as they are not replaceable in today's market.
