Is this the correct part for oldkystude's '01 passenger side door with easy close? If so, showing 2 different part #s for what appears to be the same part > 69310-50090 and 69310-50030. Is it possible that one part number is still available, the other not?

Part number for my 05 (w/easy close) passenger rear door was 6933050051.

Default Same issue 06 LS430 Ultra

Rear passenger door won't latch. I'm guessing I have the same broken plastic part. Can I visually confirm that without dismantling? Previous poster mentioned another thread with instructions. Link?

You can't visually confirm, but if your door won't latch, the latch is most likely broken. It isn't a particularly difficult fix, but the new latch is not cheap. Here's the link for removing the door panel and hardware to get to the latch: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-...-tutorial.html

Thanks for the reply. That tutorial link is broken, btw. Does anyone have it cached somewhere?

Does anyone have any more info on this? The tutorial link seems down, I literally just ran into this. I was going to replace my trunk struts with different ones, opened my rear driver door to place my shocks on the seat. And now the door won't even close at all, much less any auto close!! I've messed with the latch and can't for the life of me figure out why it won't close, its a mechanical part right? Why would a motor be required for the latch, I assume thats just for auto close? I don't even have a workaround to keep the door shut, so I can't drive the car until I figure it out. I guess I'll have to take the whole door apart later. I notice when I use the door open latch from the inside it doesn't seem to be moving anything like the passenger side does. Its over 100 degrees today, I don't know if that caused anything to go out like I was reading in another thread. I've NEVER had this kind of problem on any car, pretty bizzare.

This happened to a friend of mine on her 2002 LS430, It had something to do with the power closing door mechanism on the Ultra Luxury models.

This has honestly been a huge PITA, everything I work on with this car seems overly complicated. I got the part welded back together now I'm having a heck of a time trying to get the mechanism back in the door. And I'm not even sure if it will fix it once I get it back in.
