Proud to say it doesn't leak a drop of oil, Shifts perfectly with regular maintenance. Only thing that happens is the mph needle gets stuck on 0. My power seat belt adjuster sometimes doesn't work. Just replaced driver side rear cv axle after realizing that was causing a vibration when accelerating. I can't believe this car is almost as old as me and is so nice!
Congrats on the purchase and welcome to the Club. You do have a few miles. Plenty of info on this site to keep them running in top form.

1991 LS400 w/311K

Last Dealer Service on Record was at 280K in late 2008.

Needs some work (Valve Cover Gaskets, Steering Rack) otherwise it runs good.

Have around 280k miles on my 91 ls400 and it's still running considering the low amount of maintenance it has received

'94 236K.

Mine is currently at the Dealer getting a tune-up and they just informed me that it needs valve cover gaskets...I'm putting it on the list for the next visit...

Yup. Mine is leaking onto the exhaust manifold on the driver side AND I have a spark plug gasket in the valve cover that is leaking slightly, allowing a small amount of oil to drip in.
What'd the dealer quote for your valve cover gasket job? Might as well have them check the valve clearances while they have it opened up.

Dealer ? What are they charging and did you get a loaner car? Here they do a loaner car and still beat the pants off all the indy's in the area for some work.

I'll let you know...
However, the company I work for owns the Lexus Dealer so I do receive a discount...

Default 200,000 +

Odometer recently clicked over to 200,000 miles. Purchased the car new on September 22, 1999. Starter replaced in 2012, otherwise only routine maintenance and normal wear-and-tear items. Valve cover gasket has a small leak but otherwise in great condition. There will never be another car that has "it" like my LS400.

My 93 LS400 now has 337,116. Still running and using it every day and on the road. Love the ride and quiet cabin.

I have 343,xxx miles on my 1990 LS. At the moment it's greatest need is two 17 x 7.5 JJ 45 rims. Does anyone know where to find them? Wife hit a nasty pothole.

I have 190,000. I own an Accord with 385,000, mainly from me. If you plan to go the distance do batches of preventative maintenance and suspension work in advance. It makes your life easier and keeps the car from getting too many issues compounding..

Default 214K on my 1998

Not as many as most, but ran across this milestone when I put gas in my 1998 this week.

Seems I've got about 300k more miles to go...and looking forward to it.
