These sorts of threads are my favorite ones. I have a 96 LS with 193,000 mostly problem free miles. Had a fuel pump failure recently that was resolved, but otherwise a solid vehicle. Outside of the pump failure, all I've ever had to do is basic maintenance. Looking to put at least another 100k on it before getting another.

92 with 205 000 miles, PS pump and other common problems was replaced by the previous owners. Now i get the warped rotor and worn bushing end of it. Nothing past wear and tear though. On a side note, why didnt someone tell me you are suppose to rotate tires and re-balance them every so many miles.

1994 LS400- 211,000 miles. I am new to this board and new to the world of Lexus. I'm just a poor working man who has fallen in love with these fine Autos. Now my thoughts are on nothing but upgrades and repairs. LOL Well that and where to attain more money. This car is by far the easiest and smoothest riding car I have ever owned. I'm not gonna elaborate on what the car needs because from I have read on here my trouble and concerns have been answered. I just need more money. Aside from general maintenence and repairs I would love to put some newer wheels on it. Nothing outrageous just maybe some 17's or 18's.
A month into Lexus ownership and I am doubting I'll ever own another car. Safe journeys everyone.

Rotate?? Balance?? What, am I missing something?? It's common maintenance. I usually rotate mine every 2 oil changes. (6K or 7K miles) Rebalance about 18K to 20K miles.
Just wondering, how long you been driving? When I was younger I never did it, just swapped the fronts with the back only if I had 'em all off.

Ive got a beautiful 1998 LS with VVTi, variable intake runners, super smooth 5 speed auto, huge front 4 pot calipers, kick **** audio system..
.. After owning this car for one year, I'm 50 and want to keep it until I'm too old to drive.... The only time i will replace this car is with another V8 Lexus... If only i could afford it...
An LS460... OOOOOOOH YEAH!!!... 380HP, dual VVTi, 18" and even bigger discs and calipers than the 400 and....and....wait for it.... an 8 speed auto with paddle shift... OOOOOOHHHH YEAHHHHH........
..... Trouble is, i'd have to sell the house and everything in it....
..... And since were on the subject.....
......what about an IS-F .... WOOOOO-HOOOOOO
