How did he do that, just oils changes, or has he done any major work to the vehicle? Do you have link to that article

Default Just Purchased a Month Ago

I was working for Lexus in sales and started to really appreciate the LS and everything I learned about the vehicle. I picked one up from a one family Original Lexus. Was the grandfathers , fathers and shortly he sons. The car only has 115,000 miles on her. The paint is fading and chipping on the hood but outside of that the car is awesome. The speedo and tach do no work. But I use an app that is awesome and it's 20mph off so I don't even need the app. It rides beautiful and all the power windows and everything work. I really really love and respect the car.

Default '96 with 223,000 miles

Purchased it used in '05 with 94k.
Just replaced front upper strut bushings and cat converters. Added a digital stereo, gps, etc.
I use a mechanic who says he has a customer with close to 500k on his.

Good luck and best wishes to all,

Bob

Mine is currently at 258K runs like new. Currently out of service due to bad ECU and sent out for rebuild. Other than that everything works even A/C. I plan to keep this car for many more years. Heck if it keeps running I might even hit 400K miles. I've updated the car with GPS, DIY paint job, replaced seats with a good set, Bluetooth, backup camera, and tow hitch I do not have the itch for a new car.

Default 91 LS 400 with 212,000

91 Lexus with over 212,000. Anyone need one; thinking about donating to the food bank, but would rather some Lexus enthusiast got some use out of it. Starts and runs well. Misses a little; might be old fuel or distributor cap. Still very smooth; brakes are fine. Owned it for 17 plus years. Located in Powell Ohio.

For the converters did you go OEM or aftermarket? How does the car sound and drive? I might need to this soon.

Default 1998 Lexus LS400 Alpine silver - 193K

My trustee LS400 odometer just rolled to 193K. I retired last March and only burned 2 1/2 tanks of fuel since then. The round trip to my place of work was over 100 miles per day which I don't miss at all. My Lexus LS400 is the best, most reliable car I've ever owned and now it deserves a reward for taking good care of me. Today, I finished painting the front bumper and next I'll remove a few small rust spots on the rear fender trim. I'm also planning to replace the front struts, lower control arm bushings, and ball joints. 'Club Lexus' is the best place to get the info you need to keep your car in top shape. My thanks to all of the knowledgeable members for your DIY contributions. I'd be lost without you guys and gals.

Best Regards,
Joseph Randick
