Ball joints is the end that connects your axles to your control arms.
Bushing, depending on which one are the rubber "cushions" that are located in a couple of areas (for example your control arm has 3 bushings) to absorb road vibrations.

Hate to say this, but "persian451," if you don't know the difference, you don't have any business trying to diagnose your front end problems. That is serious business, so let a Lexus mechanic look at it.

Let's help the guy:
You have lower ball joints, strut rods, lower control arms for the front and rear knuckle bushing for the rear. Bring it to the certified tech and let him check it out.

Persian, Why don't you try to jack up the car by the frame to some level, therefore; you are able to move the front tire to the left or to the right. Use another jack to move them up and down. You'll be able to see if the ball joint or the bushing is worn out.
It's just another easy way to find out before you bring your LS to a shop. Goodluck.
