where can you buy these lexus magazines and how much are they?

Also, is the content all about modifying the cars or is it broader and less boring than that?

another thing that would be nice to know about the car would be to ask the owner what kind of maintenance he did. Did he do 3000 miles oil change intervals, or 6000... or for example how often he changed transmission fluid and etc. Or has he replaced anything major...
I would be really interested in these, it's just fun to know. Some pics from interior would also be lovely.

The Magazine is sent free by your local Lexus dealer. I get one once in a while, like every 2 or 3 months. In the article there is no other information about the old man's LS or any other pictures.

Yes, the story was pretty vague. It would be interesting to learn more about the maintenance and repair history. I do think that the 1990 LS was the best mass production vehicle ever produced. And I suspect that it remained(s) that way through today's 2004 models.

What I posted last time was the full article, just a one page deal. I'm sure his interior is very similar to any other stock 1990 LS. If you think about it, he must have followed a very strict matainance schedule to rack up that many miles.

The story seems intentionally vague to me. The whole purpose of this Lexus magazine is to perpetuate an image of luxury. The 555,000 mile LS article simply helps to add to the notion that Lexus makes great cars; they can go forever .

That's AWSESOME!!!

I only have 140K on mine... that means that I can give my LS to my nephew when he graduates....
...........hmm.. let's see, my son is only 4. That'd be another 40 years! Cool, it'd only be just broken in by then...

Anyone lucky enough to have a Lex as a first car probably won't appreciate it because they didn't go thru the ownership hassles of other brands first.

Yes, everyone needs to own a 7 Series, make a few $1000 repairs in one month, then they get to buy a Lexus. Only then will their debt be paid....

That model was so great I heard Toyota had a hard time redesigning it in 1995 and left most of the things the same way. Was 2001 the first real redesign?

You can subscribe through the lexus.com website. You'll need your Lexus VIN to complete the registration.
