Talking Thank you Lexus Link

A few days ago, I lost one of my LS430 keys, and we were sure the keys were stolen. Well, last night at 2am, my brother and I heard someone breaking into my garage and the next thing we know, my LS430 is peeling out in front of my house. Within 2 minutes, I was on the home with the cops and Lexus Link. After 5 more minutes, Lexus Link was on the line with dispatchers and had the car located moving at a very high rate of speed through Albuquerque, gave the location to the cops, and 13 cop cars were chasing the vehicle at 120MPH through residential neighborhoods. The bandits figured out they were'nt going to get away and stopped the car and bailed. Within a few minutes, the cops had all of them apprehended.

Luckily, my car is unscathed and besides some fingerprint dust on the doors, is clean too! The cops told me, that had it not been for Lexus Link, I would have never seen the car again. THANK YOU Lexus Link!

As a side note, the crooks were two 19 year olds who are best friends with my next door neighbors, and were staking us out. They are being charged with Grand Theft Auto, Home Invasion, Felony Drug Charges (they were carrying a large amt of marajuana, and carrying concealed weapons.) So, for a 30 minute joyride, they have ruined the rest of their lives. I love it when the good guys win.

Has anyone else had an expereince such as this with their LS?

drink300, I'm glad to hear you got your Lexus back and it wasn't even harmed! You might want to send the contents of your post to Lexus and let them know how much you appreciate their service. Do you have the name of the agent that helped you? You could add that if you have it.

Yes, I will definitely be giving Lexus a call to let them know about this story. With a couple of grammar fixes, this would be something very good to post on their Lexus Link homepage. Most people do not think of vehicle recovery as a feature of Lexus Link.

Hey, up until this, I thought they were the cat's meow because they could give me phone numbers and directions!

And yes, it was my nieghbors friends who did this. We have been waiting for a reason to justify moving to a better neighborhood and this just about does it. ;-)

Gotta love Albuquerque, I manage a local glass shop and do more theft/vandalism than anything else, I have had 2 cars broken into and my house once, and I even live in a good part of town

No matter where you live, theives are everywhere. I had my LS stolen once, and it was recovered 5 weeks later in little peices, almost everything was missing, but I got lucky I had a full cover insurance, so that saved the day, but I was still sad for a very long time untill I bought another LS, now I have Lo-Jack, I shaved my key hole so if some does get my key or a copy they can't open the car or pick the lock and I got one of the best alarms (clifford). Now I sleep like a baby. I'm thinking of getting GPS, but not sure yet. I don't think I need it.
