Have you checked the dome fuse?

In most of the case, a short circuited dome light damages the MPX Network Body Computer which is located under the dash near the fuse box. The switching circuit inside of it is killed by the excessive current.

I have seen a few people had that problem trying to replace the original bulb to an LED and failed causing a short circuit. They had to replace the MPX Network Body Computer to fix the problem.

It would be possible to fix it replacing the damaged components if you were very good at electronics affairs and could analyse the circuit. The problem is that it is not easy to obtain the original components. To bypass the switching circuit is another choice to fix but this looses the turn off delay time. I have once done this long time ago.
