Is it possible to install a after market head unit?
So I have been looking around to see if it is possible and have found that it is but you need to splice some wires and/or get a new amp. However, I came across a post somewhere that says you can use this device (http://www.beatsonicusa.com/partfind...0400&Year=1996) to make the new radio a simple plug and play.
I don't have plans to get a new radio due to mine working fine and produces quality sound, but if I did get this would my stereo system work as it did with the stock (such as the sub will be working)????

Are there any video examples of this beatsonic kit used in action you guys recommend in our cars? All I see on youtube is other cars, and not the LS400 specifically.
I'm very curious of how a nice aftermarket navigation/bluetooth radio would look and function.

I bought one but never used it (shameless plug: it's for sale in the classified section). it's pretty self explanatory any you can utilize any headunit that fits your preference and budget. you will find that most plug and play harnesses will not enable the sub to function.

I didn't want to pay $$$ for the beatsonic kit, so I hardwired the amp's speaker outputs to my aftermarket Pioneer AVIC-8200NEX. The stock amp is powering the speakers with the aftermarket deck.
Took a few days on and off though, but sure beats paying for a kit. Factory sub doesn't work like PureDrifter pointed out, but I had a sub/amp from the last car.

And if the next person purchasing the car is savvy about such things, you will find you didn't save a thing but lost all value that you thought you had. I would NOT buy a car with messed up electricals unless it was dirt cheap.

Yea one of the only reasons I may consider this kit I guess is the sub will work and it can easily be removable if I don't want the aftermarket unit anymore lol. I am wondering, does pioneer make aftermarket units that will work with the 6-CD player?
