Default Help Please. 91 LS400 Air intake piece broke

Hello Every one. I was trying to clean the throttle body and was unplugging tiny vacuum hoses and broke one of the intake hose. Plastic was so brittle it broke when I was trying to unplug the rubber hose. Is there any way to fix this permanently. I don't want to spend 100 dollars to get another used one from eBay. I am attaching the picture, please look at the yellow circle this is what I broke. Thanks!

Find a metal tube slightly smaller than the diameter of the nozzle that has broken off then slide it in & glue it w/ hi-temp Scotch-Weld.

I've tried epoxy ing them with not so long lasting luck. When there are cars in the junk yards they are pretty cheap that is if they aren't broke. The metal tube deal sounds like a good idea.

Thanks for reply guys. I got fixed better than factory. Got these vacuum tubing from Oreilly and drilled the hole a little bit and glued it also. It didn't need glue but just for precaution.

I think they make aftermarket metal vacuum line inserts for intake manifolds that insert. You just need to find the right diameter one.

This one i found is threaded, so it should be more secure

There's a whole section dedicated to nipple fittings also:

That works, good job! I had a similar instance and epoxied some stainless steel tubing in.

I think that tube cracking off happens to everyone. Mine broke when I was replacing the two vacuum hoses that go to the PS pump.

My solution was similar to RA40's. I just bought a ~4-foot section of hard brake line (diameter chosen to match the vacuum line) at Pep Boys for ~$5, cut a ~2" section of it, drilled a slightly smaller hole in the intake piece, press-fit the brake line in there and ... good to go. I have not needed any sealant, threads, or anything, and it has been about 8 years now, I think.
