How to remove Armrest Center Console from 91 LS400
Hello everyone! This is my first post. I have hard time removing the center console from my 91 LS400. A guy told me on facebook to just remove the two screws under the tiny carpet in the center console and pry out the black trim inside it but When I try to do that it's sticking soo hard that makes me believe that maybe there is a hidden screw somewhere that is holding it do. Thanks.

I did this a number of times on a 1990 LS400 but it's been nearly 20 years. I'm pretty sure you have to pry out the console insert which is mainly held in by friction. It's best to use plastic trim removal tools so you don't scare the vinyl. I think you will see more screws/bolts holding the console in place after you remove the insert. IIRC, you will also have to remove the cup holder assembly during the process.
Edit: Here is a tutorial that might help: http://www.lexls.com/tutorials/body/cupholder.html

It is difficult to get it out in the front area you have pictured. There are screws under the little carpet in the bottom of the box, and there are some under the little vent in the rear as well.
