Default 96 nakamich swap into 98 with Pioneer

96 nakamich swap into 98 with Pioneer system......Can this be done if I have all of the components from the 96(head, amp, sub, speakers).......

Is it easy to do or a major pain.

Thanks in advance.

I don't think so the wiring between the two cars and the two stereo systems is very different.

not going to interchange at all. better off buying the same type for your sub-model.

Even the most basic comparable aftermarket installation would sound better than either factory setup. Don't waste your money trying to " upgrade" to the Nakamichi system.

Slightly disagree.
I agree that the upgrade to a Nakamichi is pointless (needs new speakers and amp and deck and wiring harness)...but the Nakamichi system sounds better than most if not all entry level, and mid level setups assuming that you keep the same wiring.
If you want a great sounding system, upgrade the deck and amp first, then work your way to speakers and wiring (the latter is ONLY if necessary).

I swapped my nakamichi for a $700 deck and although the wiring was a nightmare to make it work it sounded much worse, I would have had to change the amp and speakers to match the Nak.
