posibly found electric fans for 90-94 LS's

Here's another from stylin concepts (but REALLY pricey)

I' not POSITIVE, because I don't completely understand the website - maybe I'll call and make sure, but it looks like they sell a kit for the 1990-1994 models. I've heard that you can gain 20HP by removing the belt/clutch fan and replacing with electric. (?)
Any other concerns? Don't you have to make sure that they turn on all the time? Maybe with ignition?

This is the fan I'm looking at to replace my clutch fan.
The only problem is temperature control sensor. Usually they sell the kind that is incerted between the radiator fins, but they are not accurate. Need to find something to screw into the air bleeder hole on top of thermostat housing.
Check it out @ Summit website: http://store.summitracing.com/defaul...=both&part=fan

By replacing the OE fans you are FREEING up HP. So the CLUTCH fan is in a sense a parisitic HP puller. Whenever you switch to electric fans though, always use a shroud whenever possible.
I've seen numberous turbo car owners overheat due to the fact that there was no shroud. There is no direct ducting to the radiator when no shroud is applied.
Just my thoughts....

I have done the conversion on my LS400 http://www.lextreme.com/fan.htm I will install the second fan tonight or tomorrow and update u guys with new pictures. I am also use the water temperature sender to active the fans. Meaning the fans only on at 185 degrees and off at 175 degrees. It will save some electricity and hp. This is great especially in the winter.
Rice, for the temp sender. The oem thread size is 20 mm and a typical temp senders are 3/8" npt. Its hard to find a 20mm with 3/8" npt. I am thinking about cutting the oem nut and thread a 3/8" npt into it.
