My 1997 LS400 has been garaged for the alst year and I put in a new battery yesterday but the car won't turn over. What should a new starter and install cost me roughly?

How did you come to the conclusion that it's a starter problem?

if the dealer does it your looking at 1000$ plus

And what all has been checked before blaming the starter? Shame to change the starter for corroded ignition starter position contacts. Is there any noise when you try to start it? If not and it started good before it sat for a year, then the problem is else where.

The engine could be froze from sitting. And WOW wait 2 months to reply? I guess a UFO flew by and you had a missing time episode.
