Default Blower Motor Weak After Carwash

Went through a no-touch car wash with ac on...immediately afterwards the blower was weak at all settings, hot or cold, ac or not, external or internal air.

Checked this forum...nothing about that in particular.

Checked the cabin air filter, and it is wet...

Letting it dry outside of the car for now...let's see what happens.

Thoughts?

Pretty confident the filter should not be wet. I would be looking into the cowl and make sure nothing is broken and all is pieced together

I have to agree with you but...haven't had any changes since I got the car painted....oh...maybe they removed the cowl and did something...time to check!

Must be an old geo metro they got moisture inside after a good rain storm. So what year is the metro?

Update: cabin air filter dry.
Without the filter in, it runs normal.
With the filter in, it runs normal.

Question is, why was water in there...was it because of something wrong with the cowl? or was it because I was running the AC in the carwash?

Thoughts?

Did you take my advice and take a look into your cowl to make sure everything is pieced together?

yes the cowl is ok...very strange...will check twice tomorrow by pouring water on the windshield and seeing if it goes into the cabin filter again
