Attached is Lexus parts diagram for 1995-2000 LS400 rear bumper cover.

Was looking under the 1999 LS400 and observed all of the plastic clips at the bottom of rear bumper cover were amiss: either missing or out of place.

What I seeking is information depicting how diagram item # 52565A looks when it is properly installed...

The attached photograph shows the steel mounting tabs at the bottom of the bumper outside instead of tucked in atop the bumper.(they all appear the same..)

Is in or out correct?






Anyone care to share body shop manual diagram or images of their vehicle showing correct installation.

Bottom of rear bumper cover looking up from ground...all of these metal tabs are beneath bumper.

If my 1996 ls 400 is the built the same, the tab doesn't show. So I think the bumper should be tucked below those tabs.

I'm pretty sure they are the same and the cover should cover the tabs. This means that the bumper was removed at some point.

The tabs get tucked under the bumper cover. Here are a couple shots of mine.

Lexus exploded parts diagram for rear bumper does not depict push in plastic clips which secures rear bumper cover to rear quarter panel (side of vehicle)..so P..N. is difficult to ascertain.

Attached is bottom mage of attacment points...which is next to muffler.
