Default Toyota Celsior import

Hi everyone just signed up and ready to share my Input and stories and also been reading some threads hear and there.

So I just won an auction for my 2000 Toyota celsior a couple days ago. Supper excited to get it over to Canada just going over the payment to my broker and will be shipped after that.

i don't have any photos and also the auction add got deleted since the car sold. So basically it's a:

2000 navy blue celsior (ls400) model not 430

grade was 4.5 interior b
kms are 37000 and wait for it wait for it
cf package with air suspension and rear seat audio controls with rear air conditioner.

super excited and will continue with updates as the process goes along.

welcome and glad to year you got a nice car coming (hopefully). i find it hard to purchase a car without actually driving it. keep us updated please. 37kms is very low for the age of the car, hoping no rust for ya!

just curious, why did you decide on getting an LS400, rather a celsior, to begin with?

I wanted a rhd vehicle I started with looking into altezza liked it but my older brother had an is300 so decided no. Then I moved up to Toyota aristo( my wife's vehicle is turbo and I hate turbos personally). Then came ls400. The celsior came with so many better options and way lower Km's compared to the ls400. I was looking to import a ls400 from Japan with 50 000kms but body condition wasn't good and almost three times as much as the celsior. I had a rhd vehicle about 4 years ago and miss it.

So what country is it coming from? And agree with Timmy and not seeing it in person. How much does shipping cost? How much for the car?

The cars coming from Nagoya Japan. I went through a import broker company called b-pro auto. The guys from the city I used to live in at the beginning of the year. So the auction shows you three pictures the auction report that the broker translates and ifit has a * by the Km's it's usually tampered with. The grade is for the exterior so it's super hard to find a 15+ year old car with a 4.5 grade usually between 4 and 3. Interior score is a b c and so on. B means no rips or holes pretty much best you can get for again 15+ year old car. Pretty much the cost is under 6 grand Canadian. With shipping included. And importation papers all done up. I still think I have to the Canadian side like inspection insurance possibly taxes but will know. More after I give the broker the money.

And hopefully it didn't get lots of fukushima dust in it. Personally I'd be checking for that.

Congrats on wining the auction. Any radiation may help to preserve it.

japaneseclassics.com had two of them for sale. Really clean cars and both were sold. I've been on that site checking out GTR prices.

I was able to locate some photos of the vehicle. Nice Asian lady taking it for a spin in the pic.

Not sure about the cops hating them. I know you cannot import ones under 25 years old because of the regulations.
