Door latch 1990
Got a wrecking yard one, to study since there have been cases where people could not open the door. And to be continued.
The top pics are different positions of the latch.
The center pics show how to remove the clear plastic cover, one small Phillips screw and then pry lightly back at the post.
The two right hand bottom pics show how the lock works, the center one is unlocked and the arm is moved to the release lever, the far right one shows locked and the arm not near the release lever.

I just broke one of these apart getting the right hand door my new project 1994 LS400. It wasn't mine yet and my friend I bought it from destroyed the door panel getting to it. Although it was easier through the panel, I'm 95% sure I could have actuated the latch through the glass slot.
Wish I had found these pictures sooner! These are great and should be more accessible.
